Investing in the future

For 75 years, San Diego Youth Symphony and Conservatory has served as a catalyst for investing in the future of thousands of young San Diegans through the study and performance of music. Through the Symphony’s flagship ensemble program in historic Balboa Park, its neighborhood engagement collaborations across San Diego County, and its early childhood music curriculum, SDYS is San Diego’s most comprehensive provider of cradle-to-college music education programming and a national leader in innovative community outreach, serving thousands of young musicians and their families every year.

The Sidney Frank Foundation provides tuition assistance for group and private lessons for students in both the Conservatory and Community programs through the SDYS Encore Fund. The Encore Fund’s goal is that every tuition assistance student receives lessons and advances at the same rate as their economically advantaged peers.
