Montana Shakespeare in the Parks

Since 1973, Montana Shakespeare in the Parks (MSIP) has brought free, professional performances of Shakespeare and other classics to communities across the Rocky Mountain West.

Accessible to all

Since 1973, Montana Shakespeare in the Parks (MSIP) has brought free, professional performances of Shakespeare and other classics to communities across the Rocky Mountain West. All performances are offered in parks and public spaces, making them accessible to all. Since that time, MSIP has performed over 2,250 times to nearly three quarter of a million people becoming a mainstay of Montana culture. Since 1993, its educational outreach programs, Shakespeare in the Schools and Montana Shakes! engage students K-12 with professional performance of Shakespeare and an engaging, relevant curriculum that enhances the students’ experience of the work.

For nearly a decade, the Sidney E. Frank Foundation supports MSIP’s programs to schools and communities in Carbon, Stillwater, and Yellowstone counties.
